Swine Flu Update

Latest Update

The College has contingency plans in place which will address Swine Flu should the current position escalate in any way.

We are of course guided by advice issued by the Government and expert health bodies and we are in regular contact with the local emergency services handling the outbreak.

The Government has also said that the risk to the general public from this strain of influenza remains very low. People are reminded to remain calm and to continue taking sensible hygiene precautions which include:

Covering your nose and mouth when sneezing and coughing and using disposable single-use tissues. Dispose of used tissues immediately.

Washing your hands (with liquid soap and water) after coughing, sneezing or using tissues to reduce the risk of spreading illness to others.

Contact your GP by phone or call NHS 24 (08454 242424) if you have any concerns about your health.
