Learning Development

 

 

1.      Who are we?

 The Learning Development is part of the Learning Development Section here at Forth Valley College. We provide a comprehensive support for learning service which is free, friendly and confidential.
 

2.      What type of support is available?

 We strive to offer a service that meets the need of the individual, which can include:
 -         Study skills (essay writing, revision, time management etc)
-         Support with coursework
-         Reading, writing or numeracy support 
-         Training and support with Assistive Technology to help with reading, writing and study skills
-         Help with applications to SAAS for Disabled Students Allowance (H.N students only)
-         Alternative Assessment Arrangements (as required)
 

3.      Where do you find us?

 We offer support across all 3 campuses. There is always a representative in Clackmannan and Falkirk. Support can be arranged by prior appointment in Stirling.
 

4.      How to contact us.

 If you wish, you can discuss your course concerns with your tutor or LDW and they will link you to our service. Or, you can contact a member of the Learning Development team directly:

In person You can speak to a member of staff directly to arrange an appointment.

Just pop into Room 1x in Falkirk, or Room CK/L1 in the Learning Zone in Clackmannan.
