Students on advanced & non-advanced courses with children may be able to apply for help with their childcare costs, this is a means tested assessment which will determine if a student is entitled to their costs in full or a percentage of their childcare costs to be paid.
Please Note, Forth Valley College will only help a student with childcare if they are using a registered childminder or nursery.
Are there any additional funds available to students on advanced & non-advanced courses?
There is the Further Education Hardship Fund & the Higher Education Hardship Fund, these funds allow low-income families and single people to apply for help with their rent/mortgage costs when they are studying at the college. These funds have a limited amount of money and students are encouraged to apply as soon as they can. Students on non-advanced courses can apply for this using their bursary form and students on advanced courses can collect the relevant forms from several places including:
