CODE OF CONDUCT

Forth Valley College supports all students regardless of age, gender, religious belief, colour or disability, in an environment which promotes learning, personal development and mutual respect. 

 

Forth Valley College requires all students to support this Code of Conduct.

 

By agreeing to this code I will:

 

  • Behave in a manner that allows myself, and others to achieve their potential.
  • Attend and be on time for classes
  •  
  • Not  use  disruptive  behaviour towards staff or other students
  •  
  • Respect myself, others around me, the facilities and the equipment available for my use
  •  
  • Use language that others do not find offensive
  •  
  • Respect diversity and difference.  The College has established policies e.g. Equal Opportunities and Student Services. As members of the College, students are expected to adhere to the principles and requirements of these policies
  •  
  • Respect other people's rights to be free of harassment and discrimination
  •  
  • Not eat or drink in College work areas and Learning Resource Centre
  •  
  • Not use mobile phones in any work area, Learning Resource Centre or exam rooms
  •  
  • Ensure that I will neither endanger myself or others by entering College under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  •  
  • Respect the College "No Smoking" policy.  All campuses are no smoking areas and  smoking is not permitted anywhere on College premises and grounds.
  •  
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures including course related procedures
  •  
  • Not view or distribute offensive material via internet, e-mail.  Adhere to the College IT Policy
  •  
  • Adhere to College policy on academic dishonesty, plagiarism, cheating and collusion
  •  

I accept that if I break this code I will be subject to College disciplinary procedures.
