Being a Class Rep does really mean that you can make a difference and as a representaive you play an important role in your department. Class Reps are vital as they act as the link between learners and staff, the aim is to obtain a view of what the learners need and feedback to the staff through Representaive Forums.
If you are up for a challenge, want to improve the learners voice at Forth valley College, gain some valuable CV points and make a difference to the teaching and learning of the course then you have the qualities a Class Rep requires.

Some of your responsibilities would include:
• Consulting with your fellow students to find out what views and problems need to be raised at the Represenative Forum. It is important to encourage student's views as you are the vital link between staff and student.
• Attending School Forums, Programme Boards and also keep in contact with your School and College President to explain what is happening at the ground level.
• After you attended any meetings put all issues discussed onto the My Representation discussion boards so that your peers can see what is happening.
No experience is needed. All fully matriculated learners within your course/class are eligible to stand for the position. Your Student Liaison Officer will organise training for you so you will be fully confident in your role. Your Student Liasion Officer Caroline Hogg is there to support Class Reps throughout the year, so if you have any queries please contact her through the Student Union.
