The College has a dedicated International Support Team based within the Student Centre at Falkirk Campus. There are regular drop in sessions and appointments are available. Staff visit Clackmannan and Stirling Campuses on a regular basis. Staff are available to provide assistance with:


• Applications • Fee Assessment • Accessing Immigration Advice • Travel • Accommodation • Welcome Meeting
• Induction • Bank Accounts • GP Registration (doctor) • Housing • Social Events & Contacts • Council Tax

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

The College's ESOL department is here to help all students whose first language is not English. There are ESOL classes held in Clackmannan, Falkirk and Stirling from beginners to advanced level.


Language Support Classes are available to help international students on full-time programmes with their coursework.

 

Multi Faith Rooms

Rooms are made available for quiet contemplation, prayer and meditation on each site.

Falkirk Campus: Room 35X is a Multi Faith Room, it is equipped
with basic washing facilities should these be required. Please enquire at Reception for the key.

Stirling and Clackmannan Campuses: There is a room allocated on each campus, please enquire at Reception.

Forth Valley College cannot take responsibility for items left in the Multi Faith Rooms. Please respect other users by setting aside any religious items eg prayer mats after use.

 

College Chaplain & Spiritual Care Network

The Chaplaincy service provides a friendly face and listening ear for students and staff, of all faiths or none, it is also a point of contact for faith groups in the local area. Chaplains will be appointed to each campus and details of the service will be available from staff in Student Centres in the autumn. Our International Team will also provide contact information for faith groups and churches.
